If you have a consistent walking or running routine that works for you, one word: Kudos! Establishing a solid, everyday cardio ritual takes dedication. Now that you’ve got your cardio in for the day, the hard part is over! But, who says you can’t take it up a notch or two? With just an extra 20 minutes you can squeeze in a fierce toning workout that will shoot that extensive cardio routine over the cliff, and I’ve found them for you!

Why?

Sounds easy enough, but why? You’re comfortable with your daily jog, who needs the extra hassle? Here are a few things you may want to consider.

- Strength & Toning.Your cardio may have your heart in great shape, but is your booty really looking as toned you want it to be? What about those abs, or those pesky upper arms? Throw in an extra 20 and make your workout complete by working for a shapely body, not to mention the extra general strength you will have in everyday tasks (Moms: I bet you’re hearing that one).

- Blasting out of a plateau. Maintaining weight with your daily jog, but really wishing you could shed an extra 15 pounds? Pumping up your workout is the answer! Muscle burns off fat and speeds up your metabolism, the advantages are endless!

- Keeping things spicy. Even the most dedicated can fall into a boredom rut when it comes to any daily workout routine. With these various 20-minute workouts, you give yourself something to look forward to at the end of your jog. Not to mention, when you become tired of one, there’s another 20-minute workout to discover!

Here are my top five 20-minute sculpting workouts: (For all workouts you will need a pair of light-medium hand weights, and a large towel or fitness mat).
